Monday Kids Heart Challenge Zoom Assembly! Monday, May 11th at 10:00am!!!
I am thrilled to share that our trusted partners at the American Heart Association are providing our school with a fun virtual experience that will bring our annual Kids Heart Challenge program to life, even though we aren’t physically together during this time. On Monday, we will launch 10 days of fun (optional) activities, that will encourage all of us to continue moving more, eating healthy, and being kind while at home. The 10 activities will be shared daily, for the whole family to enjoy!
To kick us off, AHA will lead an interactive, livestream assembly just for Richmond Street students on Monday, May 11th at 10:00am via Zoom. I look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces! Below is the Zoom link and password, and I encourage everyone to join promptly at 10am, as we will plan to start on time.

In the meantime, please register your child here: http://www2.heart.org/goto/richmondst or by downloading the Free “Kids Heart Challenge” app. We want 100% of our students registered and taking the FREE online health pledge to BE KIND, MOVE MORE or BE READY! Students who register before the assembly will even get a special shoutout from the American Heart Association during the live presentation! Thank you and “see you” then!
Please Note: Our partners at the AHA understand that every family has been affected in unique and different ways by the pandemic, and their hearts are with us! Donations are not expected through this program by any means, but they are graciously appreciated should you choose to support. Those who have special hearts are at higher risk for COVID-19, so AHA is currently funding $2.5M to projects that are dedicated to finding a COVID-19 treatment/vaccine, and locally they are helping to facilitate more school meals pickups around LA.
