Richmond Street School is Read Live's School of the Year!

Richmond Street School was honored with the Read Live School of the Year award. Read-Live is a prominent, research-based intervention program for accelerating reading achievement.

Reading Specialist, Lisa Haun, uses it to provide targeted, differentiated reading support for students in grades 3-5. She submitted an application outlining how she implements the program, evidence of growth, and video testimonials provided by third grade students. The award recognizes schools whose students have substantially improved their reading skills during the 2017-2018 school year.

There were 3 runner-ups and 10 honorable mentions from all over the US. Each of the winners demonstrated:
· The school’s commitment to using Read Live with fidelity.
· Students' growth in reading proficiency.
· Positive changes in student attitudes and motivation.

As the grand prize winner, Richmond Street School received a trophy and $2,000 towards the company’s products.
