English Language Development (ELD):
Richmond Street School provides English Learners (EL) with support to the core curriculum for the explicit purpose of building academic proficiency in English.

Students are initially identified as English Learners and progress is monitored annually using the CA English Language Development Test (CELDT) until students are reclassified as Fluent English Proficient.

For more information, see the ESUSD EL Program Information document below.  You may also contact your student's teacher, the English Learner Instructional Aide, Ines Almeida-Cervenak, the school principal, Dr. Alice Lee, or the District English Learner Coordinator, Kim Jones.
