MARCH BOOK MADNESS 2021

MARCH BOOK MADNESS 2021 - BOOKS ALWAYS WIN!

March Book Madness is an online bracket-style tournament that matches books in one-on-one "games."  In 2015, two teachers from Ohio decided to take their classroom version to classrooms and libraries worldwide. The games will be decided by a simple vote on a Google Form (the forms do not collect any personal data).

THE SWEET 16 - Which one will end up on top? Click here for an intro video and see which books are competing against each other.

Our entire school is participating! The stories are being shared in classrooms. Click here to find each book read aloud by staff members of RSS. We encourage you to check out and purchase these fantastic titles too!

Check them out from the El Segundo Library - here is an easy way to access the ebooks and check for availability!

Also check out this spreadsheet to locate books and ebooks from all local libraries!

Thank you to Dr. Lee and El Segundo Library for purchasing copies of these books. One of the best things about March Book Madness is inspiring students to read new books.

VOTING STARTS MARCH 10TH!

Voting for each round will be in one week cycles.  Each cycle will start on a Wednesday and end on a Tuesday.  Optionally, fill out a bracket BEFORE voting starts to see if you can predict the winners!  Remember, books always win!

HOW TO VOTE -  There will be a Google Form - not released yet.  Teachers will decide how to vote: 1.) Have some sort of class vote. 2.) Have students fill out the forms individually. 3.) Share the link with families to fill out at home.

WHO IS DETERMINING THE CHAMPION? Visit the following link to see all the participants. Can you find Richmond Street School on the map? http://marchbookmadness.weebly.com/participants.html

March Book Madness is for fun.  There is no ‘wrong’ way to join this event.  MBM is about reading books, talking about books and trying to decide how one great book can possibly be better than another great book.  It is to spread the love of books and reading! Thank you SO much for participating at school and home!
