FALL Flutter
The Fall Flutter is a school wide event where students enjoy a "Fun Run" filled with fun stations set up around the track, music and obstacles, while raising funds to benefit our entire school.  This is our largest fundraiser to date.   

GALS & PALS
The Gals & Pals Dance is a joint RSS & CSS Event. This event is a special evening that where Daughters & their special guest get to dance the night away underneath the glowing lights in the Automobile Museum. 

Sons Night Out 
Sons Night Out is a joint RSS & CSS Event. This annual, themed event is a fun night where the sons get to tear up the dance floor with their special guest by their side! Never a dull moment at this event. 

BOOK FAIR
The Scholastic Book Fair is a hit every year. RSS has recently been made a “Signature Fair”, a distinction only given to a handful of schools nationwide. Each year our Book Fair team transports us to another world where we get lost in books! The Book Fair team also hosts Literacy Night which is a fun night of book shopping, food, and activities. 

FUN FRIDAY
Who doesn’t like getting a popsicle after school on Fridays? Well, PTA does and that is what Fun Fridays is all about! Select Fridays, PTA sells popsicles and other fun items after school for $1. 

POP-UPS
Pop-Up events are held on Fridays, during all lunch times. Dance party, beach balls, bubbles, and life-sized games have all been used to make pop-up events fun for the students. 

HONORARY SERVICE
This programs celebrates those individuals who have given their time to service our school and community. Each year, we recognize them at an award ceremony in the Spring. Categories include: Very Special Person Award, Honorary Service Award, Continuing Service Award, Outstanding Teacher Award & Outstanding Administrator Award. 

REFLECTIONS
The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students. The Reflections Program provides opportunities for students themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness and the importance of art in education. 

SCHOLARSHIP
Each year, RSS PTA has the honor of awarding four seniors with scholarships. In order for a senior to be eligible for a scholarship, they must be RSS alumni and write an essay explaining why they are the best candidate for our scholarship. 

RUN CLUB
Run Club is open to all students and a great way to get their mid day energy out! Students are able to run laps during lunch around Richmond Field and receive fun toe tags for completing a certain amount of laps to collect on a chain necklace.  

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
Every year, RSS PTA observes Teacher Appreciation Week. This national campaign focuses on celebrating our teachers (as well as our staff). Each year, our amazing TAW chairs create a theme and fun activities as a way to show our appreciation! One of the most fun weeks of the year! 

SPIRITWEAR
We want everyone to be able to be proud of our school! We sell t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, picnic blankets, water bottles, and much more! We do not profit from this program … we just want you to look good walking around town! 

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
This national program, led by General Mills, gives back $.10 per Box Top to our school. Box Tops can be found on General Mills cereal boxes,

Zip-Loc Bags, Mac N Cheese boxes and much more. Cut, save, and hand into your teacher anytime throughout the year! 

R.O.A.D/RED RIBBON WEEK (REACH OUT AGAINST DRUGS)
Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign that takes place from

October 23rd- October 31st. This program aims to teach students drug prevention education. At RSS, we use this week to teach our children the many ways to live a healthier and active lifestyle. We use the annual theme and change the wording to make it relevant to elementary school.
